This Privacy Policy describes how UseToolz.ru (the "Service") collects, processes, and protects users' personal data. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Data controller

2. What data we collect
On registration: email address, password (stored encrypted).
When using AI chat: message text, attached files, selected mode, IP address.
Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, visit time (via Yandex.Metrica and Top.Mail.Ru/VK Ads pixel).
When paying: transaction data (amount, date, status). Bank card data is processed by Robokassa and does not reach our server.
Free tools (no registration): most tools (JSON, regex, password generator, converters, PDF, etc.) run client-side — in your browser. No data is sent to the server.
Server-side tools: some tools require server processing: HTTP headers, DNS, Whois, OG checker, SEO analysis. Only the URL/domain being checked is transmitted.
AI tools: AI chat, rewriting, summarizing, image generation, video, music, photo enhancement, background removal, colorization, restoration — require transmitting data (text, images) to third-party provider servers for processing (see section 4). Some AI tools are available without registration with daily limits, others require authorization.
Documents, lab results and recordings: photos and PDFs of documents, lab result forms, audio and video recordings you upload to be explained or transcribed — see section 5.
3. Purposes of data processing
- Account operation, favorite tools and generation history
- Providing AI tools: chat, rewriting, summarizing, image generation, video, music, photo processing
- Explaining documents and lab results and transcribing recordings at your request
- Usage tracking, credit and subscription management
- Sending email verification codes
- Security and abuse prevention
- Service improvement and traffic analytics
4. Third-party data sharing
To power the AI tools, data is shared with third-party providers. Under Article 12 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ, data may be transferred outside the Russian Federation (cross-border transfer). Providers used:
- OpenRouter (USA) — AI chat, rewriter and summarizer requests, explaining documents and lab results, speech recognition
- Replicate (USA) — image processing: upscaling, background removal, colorizing, restoration
- fal.ai (USA) — image and video generation
- Kie.ai / Suno (USA) — music generation
Providers receive only the data needed to provide the service: the request text, images, document pages, the sound of recordings (documents, lab results and recordings — see section 5). Your email, password and other account data are not passed on.
Payment data: payments are processed by Robokassa LLC (Robokassa). We do not receive or store bank card details. Payment data processing is governed by the Robokassa policy.
Yandex.Metrica (counter #107062308) by Yandex LLC is used for analytics. WebVisor is enabled. Form field data is automatically masked.
For advertising campaign optimization, we use the Top.Mail.Ru counter (VK Ads pixel, ID 3755902) provided by VK LLC. The counter collects anonymized page visit data.

5. Documents, lab results and recordings
The tools «Explain a document in plain words», «Explain lab results», «Voice message, audio or video to text» and «Minutes, notes or a letter from a recording» process what you upload.
- Who receives it: pages of documents and lab results (image or text), the sound of a recording, its text and notes pasted instead of a recording go to OpenRouter (USA) and through it to the AI model providers: the sound is recognised by the ElevenLabs Scribe model (if it does not answer — Whisper), documents, lab results and the recording's text are processed by the Claude model (Anthropic). Your email and other account data are not passed on.
- What you upload: photos and page text are deleted right after the explanation; an audio or video recording — as soon as its speech has been extracted, or, if processing was never started, automatically no later than an hour and a half after upload; temporary files — when processing ends.
- The result — an explanation, a lab result breakdown, a transcript — is kept like other results (section 6) and then deleted automatically.
- The content of documents, lab results and recordings is not written to server logs and is not used for any other purpose.
- Voice input in the chat is recognised the same way; the recording is not kept, only the text goes into the input field.
- If you send an explanation to the AI chat, it is kept as chat history; you can delete the chat at any time.
Health data
Lab results are health data, a special category of personal data (Art. 10 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ). In the «Explain lab results» tool we process them only with your consent, given with a tick before the first explanation (without an account — before each one). The purpose is to explain the values on the form; the data is passed to no one except the services in this section.
The AI chat does not interpret lab values: if you send it a lab form, it will suggest «Explain lab results», and the file itself is kept as an ordinary chat file. «Explain a document in plain words» is for everyday papers; explain lab forms in «Explain lab results».
The consent is valid until you withdraw it. You can withdraw it on the «Explain lab results» page (the «Withdraw» link under the button) or by writing to admin@usetoolz.ru. After that no new explanations are made and finished ones are deleted within an hour; explanations you sent to the AI chat are deleted with the chat.
To pass on no more than needed, cover your name and insurance number on the form — they are not needed for the explanation. The AI model is instructed not to copy names, dates of birth or numbers into the result.
6. Data retention periods
- Account (email, password) — until account deletion by user
- Chat history and files — 30 days after the last message, 24 hours without signing in
- Results (images, video, music, document and lab result explanations, transcripts) — 1 hour without signing in, 24 hours on a free account, 7 days with credits on the balance, 90 days with a subscription
- Transaction and credit history — until account deletion
- Favorite tools — until account deletion
- Yandex.Metrica data — per Yandex policy
- Top.Mail.Ru / VK Ads data — per VK LLC privacy policy
7. Data protection
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Verification codes are hashed and valid for 15 minutes. Connection is HTTPS-secured. Database access is restricted.
8. Your rights
Under Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data" you have the right to:
- Request information about your data processing
- Request correction, blocking, or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent to personal data processing
To exercise these rights, email admin@usetoolz.ru. We will process your request within 30 days.
9. Cookies
The Service uses cookies for:
- Authentication and session management
- Saving your language and theme preferences
- Analytics (Yandex.Metrica, Top.Mail.Ru / VK Ads)
10. Policy changes
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page. By continuing to use the Service after changes, you accept the updated Policy.
